I thought that it might be interesting to look back and see if the defense played a larger part in the infamous 2008 season that we may be referencing all season. I found that of his 15 interceptions and 7 pick-6's that i could find, 9 were intercepted by current NFL players, including 4 of the pick 6's.

Among the notable players who intercepted Lee were Brandon Spikes (2x, Patriots), Rashard Johnson (3x, Cardinals), Darryl Gamble (2x, Chargers), Reshad Jones (Dolphins), and Rolando McClain (Raiders). I am not saying that you don't run into NFL players on defense in nearly every game in the SEC, but you may find that some of the interceptions from a redshirt frosh were the result of great defense, and not nec bad offense (excluding some really bad play calling).

I mean..... and I'm trying to refrain from blowing up.

Why would you dig up this? This is old news.

If you look at the picks you'll see that most were the result of terrible quarterbacking, not great defense or great plays.

Sidenote: Lee probably made Rashad Johnson an All-American based almost solely on that one game same way Miss. St's crappy QB did it for Steltz in '07.

Although not important 3 years later, I still found it interesting. Don't let these geezers get you down.

I think it is fairly interesting. But if you remember the actual plays, most were to linebackers in the middle of the field. Bad throws/reads for sure. But bad play calling having a RSFR throwing there after showing he was prone to not seeing LB's.

I found it quite interesting....relevance - not so much but pretty interesting!

Lets hope JL keeps managing the games and has a breakout game against BAMA and we'll go undefeated!

I think the OP is trying to suggest that Lee can only get intercepted by an NFL quality DB.

Name a freshman quarterback that doesn't throw a lot of picks?

Yet another attention seeking geektard still crying over sour spilled milk from 2008.
