Treme..worth watching?

I just watched episode 1 and it was okay at best, most series do take some time to pick up though. Does treme pick up? Should I continue watching or find something new?

I quit after episode 1 of season 2. The only people I know who have stuck with it really are people from nola and I dont even think they really like it

No, it's horrible, just gratuitous product placement and references to Louisiana stuff and culture that is so forced it's obviosuly contrived and not well developed. if you're not from LA it might not bother you but if you are it is an insult to your intelligence

It's really good. Not great but its different from anything else on TV so naturally people will hate it.

I watched season 1 and I just barely hung around hoping season two would be better... I was wrong, I stopped watching after the 3rd show in season 2. I was tired of waiting for shite to happen and when it did, it wasn't as intense as they built it up to be. The story line is people struggling and rebuilding after Katrina.. That's it.
Each sub story is just a representation of a different way people struggled.

Season 1 was ok. It was a lot of set up. Season 2 infuriated me until about the last 2-3 episodes when they actually moved the story and characters ahead. If it wasn't based in NOLA, I doubt I would watch it though.
