Basically Baylor and the other Big 12 schools will waive their right to sue once Oklahoma agrees to stay in the Big 12.

A lot of different media members keep putting this idea out there but I think I'll kick a Superbowl winning field goal before Baylor ever signs that waiver.

I think the Saints will win a World Series before Baylor would win any law suit against the SEC in this.

Yep. The lawsuit would be based on something that is totally hard to prove.

They are delaying the inevitable.

If OU (& by default OK Lite) decide to leave is Baylor going to sue A&M, OU, & Ok State?

Baylor doesn't care about TAMU going to the SEC, they only care about the breakup of the BIGXII because the know that if that happens, they're out of a BCS conference as none of the big boys will want to take them. If Oklahoma stays and it looks like the BIGXII will survive for at least a couple of years, then I think Baylor will sign. Not that I want them to as I am 100% against TAMU in the SEC (and, really, expansion in general).

I like the scoll on ESPN where it refers to the whole conference mess (I paraphrase)

"Big East will look at Missouri, Kansas, and Kansas State if they look to expand. Then they might consider Baylor and Iowa State."

Face it Baylor - you are unattractive to just about anybody worth a damn. You are lumped with ISU. And all of this lawsuit talk isn't making you any better.

either way aggy is gonna be in the sec...if OU stays aggy can leave...if they leave then the conference will dissolve and aggy will come to the sec.

aggy must now wait on OU to decide before any moves are made.

Why do they care? They'll never make a BCS bowl anyway

I think the SEC should offer Baylor a spot in the SEC west and have them come in with Tex A&M and Missouri.

One more spot to an eastern school in the sweet by and by.

You are certainly not alone in suggesting that any Baylor lawsuit would be without merit.......which makes it all the more ponderous that Slive is taking the unprecedented step in asking for these waivers.

Slive is an attorney (or so I have been told) and a smart and experienced man. Why is he reacting this way to a lawsuit that doesn't exist yet and would be frivolous if it did exist?

My guess would be the money and time involved in dealing with...that is why you can steal up to $25 dollars (if I recall correctly) at Walmart and not have charges pressed against you

Schools make more money being in a BCS conference. Baylor should make as much noise as they can because thats the only way they have a chance at keeping their position. Can't blame them.

What do they do when Texas decides to bolt to join the Pac whatever and the landthieves join them.

Baylor's got no integrity, so you're probably right. Eventually, though, the SEC is gonna tell Baylor to shove it.

And Baylor will shove it right up Ken Starr's behind.

Because Ken Starr is a weasel, and he spent 70 million dollars to impeach Clinton for lying about a blowjob since Starr couldn't get him for anything more substantive.

The answer is obvious. Slive and the SEC don't WANT to expand unless it is clear that they must. As a free agent, Texas A&M is a good fit ONLY if they are a hassle-free pickup while the Big XII collapses.

Why would the SEC make itself look like a bad guy when there is no justification for its members?
