Honestly, what do you all want Baylor to do?

Sit back and watch their programs get hurt? You would do the exact same thing in this situation. Look at all perspectives before spouting off that they are in the way or need to let it go. This move will affect more than just the Aggies and the SEC and it's damn sure not positive for all parties involved.

Besides, I hope baylor gets their way and the Big12 stays intact. I'm sticking with 12 in the SEC.

Duckie...that's dangerous talk.

BU is a bunch of cry babies who through a hissy fit two years in a row, backed out of a contract, and cried like a little girl about the LHN and the terms they agreed to and is trying to take their ball and go to another conference...WAIT...wait that's not right is it?

why did they sign an agreement to allow aTm to leave if they are just going to renig on it once the move is made?

i dont think they have a leg to stand on, and are just wasting everyones time.

They should worry about their own future through their own avenues, not our future.

Ever had that hot girl at the bar that you are about to close with? She's DTF and you are DTF and there is nothing that can stop it. Until her short, fat and ugly friend comes up and says "we need to go." That's what Baylor is, just one big cock block.

Except for A&M is going for a girl way out their league, and probably never could have closed the deal anyway.

They are looking out for their OWN interests. Not yours. Not mine. Not the SECs. That is exactly what I would expect LSU to do in this scenario; and all of you would be expecting the same.

They never did.

Beebe wrote a letter speaking on the behalf of every member institution in the Big 12.

so did Beebe have authority to speak directly for Baylor or not?
if he did - case closed.
if he doesnt - sue Beebe, not the SEC/aTm

Join conference USA where they belong. This is America. An individual as well as an institution has the right to do whats in its/ him,or hers best interest. Baylor's conduct is the equivilant of a welfare recipient, who has learned that their funds will be drastically cut after generations of not earning it.

Baylor is in the Big 12 for two reasons:

1. They are a private institution and having one in your conference is advantageous on certain "public records" legal matters. All of the big conferences make sure they have a private school. See Vandy, Northwestern, etc.

2. At the time the Big 12 was formed they had pretty serious political clout in Austin... more so than TCU, SMU and Houston. All else equal the Big 12 should've taken TCU obviously.. who probably wouldn't be raising this stink and would've been light years more competitive. Hindsight 20/20.

Accept the fact that they are stuck in the Texas Football Conference getting whatever scraps Bevo leaves on the plate, or start looking for a new conference when the big boys leave the Little 12.

they are a 5'10 200lb kid wanting to play OL. its just not in the cards. its not the end of the world, but they were dealt a less desirable hand.

maybe if they tried harder to be a football power, theyd be desirable. theyve made choices to be a private, religious institution, and thats fine, but you cant bitch and moan when that holds you back on the field. deal with it baylor

I support Baylor on this. Its about time the little guy make a stand and at least make programs like A&M pay something or be accountable for just picking up and leaving a conference.

Good for them, and FYI its 6 total Big 12 schools that wont sign the agreement, Baylor is just the one that started it

No, I would not be a cry baby puss that my gravy train is leaving. I would also think that given the advantage of being in a BCS conference (totally ignoring Texas football traditions by kicking TCU, SMU, Rice and UH to the curb in the process) that I could have built at least a respectible team.

So says the big boys. But the little guy should always fight for what's his share. Come on. By your logic, they should just turn over and let the NCAA stick them somewhere.

I get your point, but they are fighting for their school and that's exactly what they pay the higher ups to do.

Did they do this to or try to stop Nebraska or Colorado? I don't think so.
