This one move is like a nuclear chain reaction throughout the entire conference, that is messing up SO much of what makes the SEC great.

Adding A&M = Adding 1 more team = Dismantling long standing division and cross division rivalries...I say NO!

A 12 team SEC would be better than a "super conference" elsewhere.

Kick them out before they screw anything else up!

I hate the permanent opponenent anyway. Just because Bama wants to play Tennessee doesn't mean that LSU should have to play the Gators every year.

It will if you add another team to the West.

Separates AU/UA and kills the AU/UGA and UA/TENN games.

I am inclined to agree. If we just say no thanks to A&M...can everything go back to the status quo?

I prefer the way things were to this crap. Missouri and West Virginia in the SEC...yuck. Oklahoma in the Pac Whatever. Weird. No more Oklahoma-Texas game...shame.

Permanent cross division rivalries are a stupid reason to not expand to 14.

Add two more teams and play one home and one away game out of division. No permanent rivals as that is an unfair system anyways.

This whole thread is about not even expanding to 13.

Sorry but you're wrong.

If SEC does nothing and PAC12 adds:

Oklahoma
Oklahoma St.
Texas
Texas Tech
Texas A&M (b/c you say no)

and any other team in the nation...they become the best conference in the land. Period!

A&M is not worth this headache. We don't really need them.

Baylor is calling the shots for the SEC now. They'll tell Slive what to do.

The point is, that adding another team from the west, COMPLETELY changes the landscape of the SEC...which I am NOT in favor of.

Obviously, my statement was made in haste and I don't think that it would be better if THOSE were the teams you would add.

Bottom line, I like the way our conference is, so if we want to preserve that we need to make sure the league stays balanced and doesn't take away from what is already established.

Don't be ridiculous. This is great for the SEC.

SEC schools were unanimous because they know this to be true.

What happens if the PAC 12 expands to 16 or 18 and realizes, "this was a bad idea" and start kicking schools to the curb...and we stay at 12...we look like geniuses.
