I usually don't start getting into bourbon much until after labor day.
I will be at Dorignacs or Martin Wine Cellar next Saturday morning looking for a bottle to sip on later that night.
What do you like? I have been getting Eagle Rare the last several times. I know Makers Mark is a good bet, but kind of looking for something different this time.

Eagle Rare is perfect for the price. agree with LE and cosmo, Woodford and Bookers are both solid.

also try out Basil Hayden's and Whistle Pig Rye. both very good.

We are talking degrees of excellence, but Blanton's is my favorite.

Evan Williams makes a single cask bourbon that is very good too. It is around $30 I think.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I will let you know what bourbon, beer, and wine I end up with next weekend.
Going to be a good day.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Rowan's Creek.

This is by far my favorite bourbon. Very smoothe and chewy.

Buy a fifth of that and then post your opinions here.

ETA: I like Baker's very much also. Good recommendations in here.
