We can't afford JJ to fail again

There is the potential LSU could be the most disappointing team - if we see a repeat of Les not wanting to change QB's when necessary.
Bottom line - we don't get the receivers the ball and we sink to a top #110 Offense again.
We can not afford that. Give JJ his FAIR chance but no more - give JLee and Mett their FAIR chance as well.
Why do I sound pessimistic about JJ? Based on proven game expereince why wouldn't I? His 9 lives are up from his first poor performance this Fall.

Didn't work out too badly last year...

Uh, did Les not do that last year with Lee?

Well, if he gets the same amount of wins he got last year - he will be the winningest QB in LSU history.

If his 9 lives are up, then wouldn't that mean that his chance to start would be dead?

Most people look at the '06 team as underachieving. People will look at this one the same way as well without an SEC title.

We didn't make the SEC Championship game. In TigerTown with the talent we fielded last year (and this one coming up) anything less has a bad taste. With better QB play last year we would have won the NC - not Auburn

Yes, the same year that JRussell was our QB and not Flynn.

If the backups are doing better in practice why is JJ still the starter? Does Les get married to a QB?

And those people would be retarded.
11-2 with a Sugar Bowl victory is great.
Only the true mouth-breathers would scoff at that kind of season.

I hope JJ has a chitty season like JR in '06.

What you tryin' to say, bruh?

I think JJ himself is the only one that cant afford to a have repeat performance from last year.
IMO Les will be more quick this year to make a change than last.

It's a good thing you started this thread. I don't know what we would have done without it.

This is what people just can't get through their heads. Les got criticized last year for not playing the best QB. I was one after the Tenn. and Florida games that was so pissed because of his utter stupidity.
Well as it turned out, JJ was the best qb last year. Lee finally got his playing time against a cupcake and we as fans finally got to see what Les Miles knew all along. Lee wasn't better. Better at times... YES. Better for 4 quarters NO.
After that I learned to stop questioning who plays.
Why did Lee save our butts last year even though he wasn't ready to be a starter? Because or guru of a coach played him at the most opportune times... played him when he should have played him.

nauseating to read this QB discussion again....the very thought that some folks believe they know more than Crowton, Stud, Miles and now Krags about our QBs is utterly ridiculous. Folks with more experience than most people have been alive and have coached at the highest levels, folks making millions of dollars to make these very decisions, and making decisions that directly affect their livelihoods certainly wouldn't choose the best qb and would let some other criteria decide who plays.
