Just hit my record. $286.
We've had 100 temps every day for all of July.
Wife likes the AC central unit at 66. She's cold blooded. Dogs like it cold, too. House is 2K sf.

I'm pretty sure we hit $480 one month in 2008 when I lived in BR. House was raised and uninsulated.

I hit $220 last summer when the wife had it on 74 all day and night...

Only hit $109 this summer thanks to the programmable thermostat...

What is the power rate? About 8cents/kW?

I have hit almost $500 a few times, rate in Vegas is close to 15cents/kW.

I don't know. Is it supposed to be on the bill?

I've kept it really comfortable with 70 at night and 75 during the day. 190 last month and 177 the month before. Trying to ease up a couple of degrees without being uncomfortable.

This is almost exactly my bill and temp settings. How big is your house approx (if you don't mind sharing)?

Around $450.

This was a big arse POS rental in college though. Old, raised, and no insulation.

Even though it was split 3 ways it was still insane. I think our lowest there was around $200.
