Never heard of that actually happening. Convinced it was a made up possibility that no one has actually experienced.

I know a guy who had it happen with rage. Also problems with them opening in the quiver.

I've seen vortex screw ups first hand on quartering shots.

Not saying they are common at all because I only personally know of it happening 3 times with those two heads, but I'm not willing to risk it when I can split hairs with the slick tricks.

I have a close friend i hunt with shoot a good buck at 8 yards last year with the Rage 2 blades.

He is shooting a new bowtech that flies like 340 fps.

Anyhow he claims he hit the shoulder blade and he could tell the arrow didnt get much pentetration.

We found a little blood. Never found the deer.

Up to that point he would have been a spokesperson for the rage 2 blades, as he had killed several deer and had rediculous blood trails...

He has since switched to muzzy 4 blade.

This is just one of a bunch of stories...

I have never lost a deer using fixed blades.

I am sure 99.9 percent of the time they operate as advertised, but i dont want to be the the unlucky guy that gets screwed on the buck of a lifetime, being the .1%

Go with what works and only has operator error to blame.
