They are fairly similar. I rather LS&TSB, but I am sure there are a bunch of people who would say Snatch.

Both are pretty much the same movie. I like Lock Stock better simply because it's first, and it just seemed that Snatch was just trying to be Lock Stockier.

Good god, yes, yes and more yes.
And then watch Snatch.
I wish to Christ Guy Ritchie would tone down Sherlock Holmes and make it more like Snatch and LS and less like a Michael Bay film.
I hit up Snatch and LS at least once a year.

Lock Stock isn't really the same as Snatch. It's the same style of film making, but the story is different.
After Lock Stock and Snatch watch RocknRolla if you like that style of film. I'm glad Sherlock didn't flop, but because it was so successful there will be no more Johnny Quid films and that sucks.

Both are fantastic. Watch Lock Stock first. Solely because that's the order they came out. You might think to yourself the entire movie "Wait. Jason Stathom is not playing a bad arse?"

That's like saying Terminator and the Matrix are pretty much the same movie.
The only real similarity between the two involves specific actors, and distinct characters. I've got both on DVD. Both are great, but I prefer Lock Stock.

one of my favorites, obviously

If you want to nitpick it, no, they aren't the same films. Snatch had a bigger budget. But if you pay attention to the cinematography, the way the lines are delivered, and the whole gangster angle, then you don't see much of a difference. Not complaining and not knocking one or the other. In fact, on the Snatch DVD, you'll see Ritchie actually say "I hope I didn't make Lock Stock and 3 Smoking Barrels. That's not what I was going for, but they are in the same vein."

BBC Sherlock series ftw. I think Ritchies Sherlock is a really fun popcorn flick. Even had a scooby doo ish ending which I liked. But it's not true to the books or how Sherlock should be presented. It's an action flick not a mystery. But, it's America, I guess that's to be expected.

RocknRolla was my favorite. Johnny Quid is a great character that deserves another film.
