I think bigfoot is blurry. It's not the photographers fault. He's just a large out of focus monster roaming the country side

Could an unidentified primate species have evaded valid documentation for decades in the remote jungles of a 3rd world country? Possibly. Could he have done that in the Pacific North West with a bunch of people actively hunting it? Much less likely IMO.

If Bigfoot existed he would have been found by now. This isn't darkest Africa where Gorillas hid for years. This is not 1902 when the Mountain Gorilla was first discovered.

With the amount of resources being put into the hunt for Bigfoot and the amount of time they have been looking, something would have been found by now.

From the bigfoot documentary on Futurama

quote:

Narrator: In the dense forests of the Pacific Northwest dwells the strange and beautiful creature known as Bigfoot, perhaps.

Sadly, logging and human settlement today threaten what might possibly be his habitat. Although if it's not, they don't. Bigfoot populations require vast amounts of land to remain elusive in. They typically dwell just behind rocks but are also sometimes playful, bounding into thick fogs and out-of-focus areas.

Remember, it's up to us. Bigfoot is a crucial part of the ecosystem, if he exists. So let's all help keep Bigfoot possibly alive for future generations to enjoy unless he doesn't exist. The end.

Call me a nerdish romantic, but I like the idea that Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and UFO's exist. It's fun to imagine that there are still un explored mysteries out there.

That being said, I caught a couple of episodes of this drivel last weekend. It cracks me up how the "Squatch" hunters all talk like there's NO QUESTION to the existence of Bigfoot. They describe his habits, diet, preferred haunts, and how he sounds like they're talking about a known and fully documented species. They know more about Bigfoot than I know about my Golden Retriever.

It's easy to find Squatch sign when you are totally sold on their existence.

Yes they are remote, but they aren't uncharted or unexplored. With game trail cameras, dedicated hunters, and helicopters and small planes flying over daily I just don't see how a breeding population would not have been discovered. What makes a sasquatch more elusive than a bear or wolf? These creatures have a reason to be aloof since humans routinely shoot and kill them yet humans have no problem tracking and finding them.

I'm much more inclined to believe in the existence of the yeti over the sasquatch.

They are like those clowns on Ghost Adventures. They ALWAYS find what they are looking for. They never get to a location and admit that they came up empty handed.

You never hear the guy say "There aren't any fricking Squatches here, bro."

I guess you can say I am a closeted Big Foot and UFO fan - I get a real kick out of these shows, but I won't exactly talk about how much I enjoyed the Swamp Ape episode of Monsterquest at the office or gym. With any of these phenomena, you have to apply a simple logical test: What's more likely - that a human-like primate, purportedly larger than any other primate that has ever existed, has completely evaded detection from scientists and amateur researchers for 50+ years, or, that people sometimes misidentify bears or other animals or fall victim to some clever hoaxes? Same test can be applied for UFOs - is it more likely that a race of intelligent beings out there in the universe figured out how to cheat everything we know about physics (space-time, gravity, etc) and like to come to our planet to dissect cattle and conduct rectal exams on hillbillies, or do we just have cases of mistaken identity, delusion, and hoaxes?

That said, there are specific cases that do intrigue me, especially UFO sightings that are made by military or airline pilots and can be corroborated by multiple eyewitnesses and technical data (i.e. radar returns). The Japan Airlines UFO Incident over Alaska is definitely one such incident. Still, these events don't prove that little green men were piloting a space ship; it just proves that an incident happened for which we cannot find an explanation in conventional science.

For Bigfoot, there are far fewer, if any, such sightings. There have been a few sightings by credible law enforcement officers, but the vast majority of these sightings occurred at night and during poor weather conditions. The fact that nothing in the fossil record points to a large bipedal primate ever existing in North America is pretty definitive for me.

I find the show to be quite funny, there reenactments are great. I found a acorn on the ground, there has to be a bigfoot around.

This is what I tell all my friends. Just like that show Ghost Lab. Bigfoot, as well as ghosts, unquestioned existence is a necessary assumption of the show. Which is funny enough, but then it's hilarious to see all the special equipment and techniques they've "mastered" trying to catch them. I always wonder who manufactures some of these bigfoot tracking devices and how they make a profit

They're so elusive they can apparently evade the thousands of game cameras throughout the wilderness.
