Who here has played soccer? Competitively?

A friend of mine whose never played watches more matches than I do, loves fifa, and is generally obsessed with soccer... but is still a little naive to the game. Before this guy I thought only former players "loved" soccer, WBU?

I wasn't allowed to play and love it. I didn't love it until I really learned the rules of the game. Tactics are tough to get a grasp on, but I feel that I have a pretty good grasp of the game in general.

played from age 6 thru high school
then got really fat and lazy
decided enough is enough, joined over 30, played one season, then blew out both of my knees outside of soccer

I play 3 times a week. Nursing some knocks to my ankles and shins this morning. I play with a smattering of internationals up here bc our field is right along embassy row.

I played through high school and have done intramural soccer at LSU. I was so bad this last semester, I may not do it again. I'm too competitive to suck so awfully at a sport I used to almost be good at in the past

If by play you mean mercilessly foul Mexican construction workers in pick-up games at the park, then yes, I play.

I like when we exhaust them with our Samba style of interchanging triangles, cross field switches, and cheeky backheels that send one of us to goal

Naw, I have 3 days left before my final in my only summer class. I have to at least attempt to be responsible. Also, I was so terrible at intramural soccer I feel like I need to practice to avoid further embarrassment
