I never really kept up with it. Feel like I'm missing out. So now I want to keep up with it and don't know which team I want to follow. Usually just follow LSU players. Everyone in my family likes the cubs (those that like MLB).

I have always put it off bc I feel like a bandwagoner if I just jump onto a team so late in the game. But dont like how the world series has no significance to me other than a former tiger playing. Don't like Yankees but the 3 teams I've kinda liked over the years are cubs, Redsocks and giants.

I'm thinking the giants or cubs bc of DJ and brian. Every other sports team I follow is from childhood so it feels somewhat ackward picking one for a new league. Especially since La doesn't have a team.

I had no choice. My dad was a Braves diehard, so we watched the Braves every day.

Become an Astros fan. We're the best fans in baseball. We have nowhere to go but up.

I grew up here in Arizona but my parents transplanted from Santa Monica so my Dad was a Dodger fan pre-1998 before the Diamondbacks played a season. I was only 12 then and never reached die hard status and was more of a Mike Piazza fan really. We also had Giants spring training tickets right in the first row of the Giants dugout and as a little kid Will Clark was my favorite player. He tossed me a ball every game I went to so I really really liked the Giants too.

Then 1998 came and the Diamondbacks began and I officially had a team of my own. Now I hate the Dodgers the most, followed by the Rockies... used to hate the Giants when they had Bonds but I can't really hate on them much anymore.

I played baseball with Ike Davis from literally T-Ball through High School so now I have a small rooting interest in the Mets and it sucks.

I was raised an Astros fan because my dad grew up as a fan. His parents were from Houston, and he would go watch them when he'd visit his grandmother there as a kid. I grew up with Bill Brown and J.D. on the tv constantly in the afternoon, and I still remember going to games from circa 2000 in the Astrodome.

As previously mentioned, we are shitty right now, but there are a few bright spots here and there, like Pence and Lyles. We are also in the process of changing owners, which is encouraging since our front office/farm system has been historically subpar.

Admittedly, Astros fans on this board are traditionally annoying as hell, but my advice is to not be a typical douche who follows a team like the Cubs with no real connections to the team or surrounding area. It's one thing if you were raised to be a fan or are a ten year old and like the team, but just picking them when you are a yuppy from NOLA so you can wear a Theriot/Fontenot/Lamahieu shirt is lame as hell IMO.

Grew up in Louisiana. New York was the first place I lived that had a team, so I was to adopt one.

I moved to Manhattan for a year, one of the old boroughs. The Yankees are the old team. The Mets, however, are the team who most recently played in Manhattan.

After a year, I moved to Brooklyn, which is on the island that the Mets call home.

The designated hitter is for pussies.

I have a soul.

Go Mets.

Born in Southern New Hampshire (Merrimack) and averaged about 10-15 games a year from age 3 to age 13 when I moved down here.

my dad worked in the San Francisco Giants organization when I was a kid (when the Shreveport Captains were the Giants' AA affiliate). got to meet Will Clark, Royce Clayton, etc. I also lived out on the California central coast for a spell so that even more solidified it for me.

My family would always go to Astros games so I got that from them. Ever since I've been little I've pulled for the Red Sox and I picked up pulling for the Reds from my uncle since he has pulled for them all his life

My list is
1a) Reds
1b) Astros
2) Red Sox

I started playing baseball before I could really watch baseball. My first team that had an MLB uniform was the Cards, which made me a Cards fan. Caused a few issues with my dad and his brothers because they grew up watching the Cubs.
