Rum House, although its Caribbean, and whole lot more than fish tacos

I talked to the owner one time on a flight and he told me he got the idea from a trip to Jamaica. He told me to come try the fish tacos but I havent been down there since then. Looking forward to it. What else would you recommend?

all of the tacos are very good. he has 2 fish ones, but about 15 or so total. you really can't go wrong as long as you go taco.

Damn, that place looks pretty tasty. I might have to check it out for lunch one day.

I love Jamaican patties and jerk chicken. Looking forward to it. How expensive are drinks?

Went yesterday and it was on point once again. Wait staff very overrated by this board, however.

its definitely hit or miss. certainly not solid across the board. the talent eating there is usually top notch though IMO and IMHO

Really good looking hostess a few weeks ago when I was there and I've seen one other girl that was above average but I have yet to see this talent there that so many have been talking about. So right now they're sitting at about 1.5 and I haven't seen anything else that would significantly change that opinion. I will continue to return because the food is so damn good regardless of the staff.

Yeah I know one of them. They need to open a second location in BR, it would crush it.

Agree that it's very overrated. Maybe 1-2 hot employees out of the 10+ that work there on a given night. For a while, the hostess was rather large but I think she's been replaced since.

And the patron talent is nothing special as well. Went one Tuesday a couple months ago and it was nothing but families, a few young couples, and big group of large women out for "magarita night with the girls."

Food is way over-rated by some on here, very uninspired to me and won't be going back anytime soon if ever

They are opening a second location in Metairie I think. I've told them multiple times thats a mistake, but looks like its going to happen.

A BR or Warehouse District one would crush.

I'll be going down next weekend. Doubt I ever make it on a Tuesday because I don't live there. (thankfully)

I love Caribbean food and look forward to it.
