You are ignoring the fact that he quit in a playoff game.

But I'm not sure what that question is trying to prove

Well he successfully survived 18+ years before being selected by Cleveland.
How does quitting in that playoff game change anything if he was already leaving once he became a free agent. It just pissed people off and rightly so.
ETA:
That's why I can completely agree with Lebron's decision to leave.

I in no way think Lebron was bad for the Cavs...that's why it sucks to see him leave. And although I think they needed better players around him, Cleveland is Cleveland... Dan Gilbert can only throw out so much money to get a 2nd player. If players don't want to move to Cleveland they aren't going to.

Lebron still lives in Akron in the offseason, and he has his family live there (which makes you wonder why he didn't take his girlfriend and children to South Beach with him, but I digress).

He is such a great role model.

it is personal for you guys... we get it
I don't entirely blame you either... had Kobe forced a trade after quitting on the Lakers in the playoffs a few years back I think there would be Kobe haters among the Lakers fans as well

And I can completely agree that certain people are taking it way too personally, but saying nothing he did should have rightfully pissed anybody off doesn't make sense to me.

He has done nothing to no one. That is a fact. Rooting hard against him for leaving your team is what you're supposed to do--anything further than that makes you a complete loser who needs a life.

I'm pretty sure that's all most are doing.

I don't even know how to respond to that. When a player quits on a team you are a fan of, you are saying that you have no right to feel upset about it? GTFO troll.

I'm rooting against him because him quitting pissed me off. What the frick is so hard to understand about that.
And I don't see anyone on here doing anything further than rooting against him....

He didn't quit. yes he had a defeated body language bc he was realizing that despite being the best player in the league and putting up absurd stats his team was still getting killed by the celtics. There was nothing he could do to stop garnett from raping jamison or rondo from blowing by mo williams on literally every possession. Or ray allen hitting wide open 3's bc whoever his two guard was couldn't cover him. If you want to be pissed at someone Mr Cavs fan be pissed that your management didnt trade for Amare at the trade deadline bc they didnt want to give up jj fricking hickson.

Lebron is a royal arse! He has a tremendous ego and I hope one day justice will be served. You simply cannot go out of your way to tell a city and fanbase to go frick themselves.
you must be from Cleveland or your just a slapdick. You are whats wrong with NBA fans.

you're a fool and should rightfully be ashamed of yourself and this thread.
How can you seriously degrade people for their opinions regarding one of the most obnoxious, self-important douches playing professional sports today?
Fine, if you want to suck off the man behind The Decision, fine. But don't criticize others for having different values on what makes a good person.

Wade/James have been average in the playoffs except for a few games. Bosh carried the Heat past the Bulls.
But when Kobe shoots 40% in the NBA Finals and gets bailed out by Gasol or freaking Artest, you say Kobe carried the Lakers.
Never fails.
