Louisiana Fishing license

Just went to the LDWF web site and if I purchase a salt water license i have to get another in June. Ive always had a problem with that. Why not make them last a year from the date of purchase. Miss allows you to pick the date your license takes affect and last one year from that date. Anyone else aggrivated by this?

yes, it's retarted. no matter what, it expires in JUNE.

Yes Mississippi has finally gotten their shite together. Wish Louisiana would follow.

Yea, never thought I'd say it but I wish La was more like Miss. At least in that aspect.

quote:WOW! My dumb arse has never thought of that and yes, I do get aggravated with it cause I have some family members who make a trip with me now and then and sometimes don't get the most with the current prescription.
Why not make them last a year from the date of purchase.

That is one of the great dumbass mysteries of the LDWF

Good news though is that the price goes down throughout the year.

If I salt water fish it may be a last minute invite so I usually don't buy one till then. Going this week so if I buy one I'll have to get another next month if I go again
Another thing. If you have a trip planned in Miss you can go online ahead of time and get your license and put what date you want it to take affect. Pretty bad arse and sportsman friendly

I hate it, LA needs to make it last a year from purchase

On the other hand you don't need to keep checking the date you need to renew it. You know that you need a new lisence by 7/1

just consider it an investment in wildlife conservation- give them the few bucks and enjoy fishing

Might not be bad if on 7/1 I went and bought all my license for the year. Just never know what I'm gonna wind up doing. Only two that are guaranteed are basic fish, hunt and big game
Posted on 5/22/11 at 11:11 am to FelicianaTigerfan
Buy those two and then just add on. If you go duck hunting or archery just get it then

go with the lifetime. good investment if you fish once a year

Is the lifetime reg fishing + salt something like $300?
Posted on 5/22/11 at 11:21 am to TigerTatorTots
300 for just the fishing, 500 if you buy hunting and fishing. so you save 100 buying both

Yea lifetime is the way to go. I'm no OT baller though. More like a baller on a budget so convincing myself to drop 500 at one time on anything is tough

Put $40/month on the side. By the time June 2012 comes around you'll have the $500 you need for the lisence.
It's a great investment. My parents got me mine when I was little (only $300 then) and it's one of the only gifts that still pays off!
