At home when I grab a weapon all I have to do is say "upstairs". No questions asked, everyone goes upstairs, wife locks the bedroom door and arms herself.
I did not realize that there were parts of Covington so dangerous that it required home invasion drills.

It is a Magazine, not a clip. Yes, I do advocate having loaded firearms in a home with children. If you raise your children to be responsible, respect, and understand firearms. There should not be a problem.
Also, don't feel sorry for me. One of those Glocks is a duty weapon, the other a backup. The third is for my girlfriend when I am not here.

I'd be a prick all day long if it gets everyone clear that all this "shoot the burglar" stuff is very dangerous territory for anyone.

Not fantasy. You will get sued nine times out of ten.
Let me ask you a question: How many times have you pulled a gun to defend your home?
I am really not sure what your practice area is, but if you think that is a fantasy, then I think you are grossly misjudging the risk.

Heehee, yeah you right. Technically correct is the best kind of correct!
No offense meant, I don't have kids. I just know when my 5 year old nephew is around that wouldn't be the choice I would make.
Edited to add... I have guns, and have served my country. Not IN ANY WAY trying to dissuade responsible gun ownership.

None taken, I have a 12 year old niece, but I've taught her from an early age to respect firearms.

Look, if you're telling me that the family of a dead home invader is going to get anywhere with a civil suit then I'll just agree to disagree. Even in Avoyelles, that's summary judgment. And yes, paid for by my plup carrier.

Judge,
Home invasion drills, fire drills, perimeter watches ( ).
By the way, these practice drills have paid off more than once.
If you think you need a home protection weapon then you need a plan. One that can be put into motion without someone saying "but I'll loss the points I made in this game". King of the castle says "upstairs" everyone moves.

Well, I gotta say, you have clearly thought it out.

The Hattoris got 650,000.
Look, if you think you are quick enough to make the right legal judgment under those circumstances, then you by God shoot away. But if you are wrong, you are going to pay. If you misjudge the situation, you are going to pay out the wazoo. And, best case, you are going to incur some serious criminal defense fees. Justifiable homicide is an affirmative defense to murder charges. So just load her right up there, chief.

Then you will know that intentional acts are not covered. Then you will not that if your plaintiff attorney is smart enough to sue you in negligence, then you will have a defense. But the jury is going to get a blank for intentional. And if they check yes, then you are toast. And that insurer ain't going to pay one nickel of your criminal defense fees.

I'm glad you called me chief. That's quite appropriate. As to using Hattori as an example, well, that's just fricking dumb. If you want to talk about home invasion, real life law, fine, I'll be here buddy-boy. If you want to live in your fantasy world of yahoo district attorneys, hanging judges and runaway juries, I can't play because they don't exist in real life.

Yoshi h was not an invader and was unique case
Thing is gotta know the rules
And how to handle the situation
If you can't load and chamber in the dark in a hurry
Or get a lock off in the same situation
You are not very likely to handle the situation properly when it comes time to handle the threat
Don't come sneaking around my house I'll win

I wondered why my premiums were so high.
