My brother is getting his Masters in Structural Engineering and my wife and I want to take him out for lunch and the LSU baseball game tomorrow.

I was going to to take him to Texas De Brazil, but they aren't open for lunch.

Any suggestions?

you could do something nicer, but I would rather have drinks/brunch at The Chimes than anywhere else in BR before a game.

Texas de Brazil is a good choice for something like that. A lot of the food snobs hate on it, but I've liked it the couple of times I went. Pretty cool restaurant.

Can't go wrong with Parrains. Mike Andersons, Sammys, TJ Ribs, Chimes are all good.

Walk Ons - sucks...for the people not in college.

Two choices:

1.) Louisiana Lagniappe, right by Perkins Rowe. Some of the best food in the City, bar none.

2.) Catch a late breakfast at Superior Grill on Government. Not a lot of people get in there for it, but they make breakfast on the weekends and serve it till around 12 or 1pm. Definitely worth it if you're up for something a little different than the norm.

Congrats to your Bro.

There are some good suggestions, but I have to admit if I had lived in BR for the past few years while going to LSU, I'd want to eat somehwere away from campus that I don't regularly visit.

Chimes and Mike A's are nice but they're so close to campus that he's probably been a million times. I know I have

That's funny because those are my 2 favorite casual spots in BR.
