This one
is in the public domain and is not owned by LSU. That's why you'll see Auburn and Pacific University versions of it. You can't make money off it if you don't own it.
This one
is too much of a mish-mash of colors. It doesn't translate well to 2 colors
and is hard to render in 3. Not sure if LSU ever trademarked it.
This one
is not trademarkable because it's simply words written in fonts LSU doesn't own.
That's why LSU paid to have the proprietary Geaux font created.

Are we looking for suggestions? Cause Hobbes is probably in the top 2 for all the pics of mascots I've seen so far... He's a lot better than anything those University of Phoenix rejects could come up with.

Why don't they take a picture of the current Mike and use that as a basis for a logo. Then only change it when we change Mike's, kinda morbid but would be cool.

I actually like that alot. Very close to our current tiger head only much cleaner. Got a higher res version of just the head?
