re: the Big Three = The Easy Route?

If youre the annointed best player in basketball why would you feel the need to go join another superstar? Why not build your own legacy.
Build it with whom? Delonte West and Big Z? Every past superstar with rings has had a great supporting cast. They got lucky by being drafted onto a team that was competent enough to surround them with other great players. You can't win championships on your own. Never been done. Never will be done. Period.
And please stop with the Heat fan nonsense. I couldn't care less if they win or lose. I'm a Hornets fan.

No shite sherlock but then again no one knew the bulls would be this good. What is reality is LeBron chose an easy way out by going to Miami. Title chasing is something aging vets do, not arguably the greatest player in the game.

So your main goal shouldn't be winning a championship until late in your career?

The truth is that there is no easy way. The 2004 Lakers proved this.

Mavs in 5 over whoever comes out of the East

So you're saying that when a guy is a FA his top priority should not be going to the team that he feels will give him the best chance of winning a championship?
i'm not totally convinced that's why he did it. Obviously a wade/LBJ team is going to have a great shot to win titles, but the pieces were in place to just step in and run shite in Chicago.
Great young PG? check
Good skilled PF? check
Young C who rebounds and plays D? check
Plus you'd have a guy like Luol Deng coming off the bench and a sharpshooter in Korver.
That's group with James would be absolutely filthy.

anyone who knows basketball knows miami wouldn't be the easy route right off the bat
you're irrational anti-lebron stuff is much more prominent than our so called "heat fandom"

Ok people want to say Wade and LeBron are the two best in the game today, when has that ever been the case before? Kobe and Shaq? Yeah that was a dynastybut Shaq didn't bolt to LA knowing Kob would become that player. It was a bitch move and this Heat supporting cast is not that bad. By bad mouthing and devaluing the rest of the team you can make it seem like LeBrons decision wasn't such a bitch move.

Chicago would have been a nice choice as well.

Kobe and Shaq
Magic and Kareem
Jordan and Pippen

They're beyond awful.
I hate watching this heat team play but its not because I don't respect the talent of LBJ and Wade. Their half court offense is just painful to watch. Truly horrible basketball unless they get into a running game.

Pippen was never a top 2 player in the NBA gtfo.

Chicago was the choice because it wouldn't have been viewed as a "super friends" type situation while still being the far better constructed team.
but if the Heat win this year, with this cobbled together squad, doesn't that pretty much blow that up?
I mean, this is year 1. Next year they'll clearly be better when they get rid of miller and find better bigs.

Also let's touch and the "building a legacy" thing. Kobe was going for his 3-peat this year and all you heard about was how this would add to his legacy. So he can add to his legacy with a cast of Artest, Odom, Bynum, Gasol, and Fischer along with arguably the greatest coach in NBA history on the bench but Lebron can't do it with Wade and Bosch?

Ok sorry he was only named one of the top 50 NBA players of all time. My bad.

Lol miller was said by many to be a great signing, now h is dead weigh because of some injuries. Spin away.

Yeah good for him, anyway you want to throw those names in there, what do they all have in common? Dynasty. And now LeBron runs to miami to create this same type of team and it's not a bitch move?
