Does he bark constantly? I lived next to a guy with two old dogs that would bark at the drop of a hat, all night long and he seemingly never heard it. BB gun (daisy) did wonders when I was tempted to use my 7 mag.

That's bullshite! You should definitely confront him about it. If he isn't scared shitless of you and genuinely sorry, call the cops.

When you go confront him, have an audio recorder or witness as evidence if you have to call the cops.

Not justifying the act at all, but where was your dog? If you call the cops and the dog was running free, they will likely ticket you. If he was in your yard/fence, then call the cops. That's bullshite.

I have a lab that barks a pretty good bit when the neighbor's kids are in the backyard. I was wondering why she barked at them so much, then I caught those little frickers taunting her through the fence. If I catch one shooting her I'm kicking their little asses.

However, If the dog was in his yard barking at him you are lucky it was only a bb gun. Or if previous posters have commented, if it barks all night you may want to fix the reason he is getting shot for.
