The Tweet had nothing to do with the Hornets

It's pretty amusing that anyone would think it does. Here are the facts.

Hornets game ended at 9:10

Reggie doesn't tweet once about the game because it's a blowout.

Reggie begins tweeting about the NFL Draft. Says he can't believe it has been five years since he was drafted and Goodell is getting booed.

Saints select Mark Ingram.

Reggie retweets one fan's love.

Reggie then says, "It's been fun, New Orleans. Deuces."

Sets off a shite storm throughout the sports world. Everyone assumes he is talking about leaving the Saints because the Saints don't need him. Two hours later, he comes on, knowing the shite storm he just created. He doesn't clarify anything because what he said is what he meant. He pretends to be a good sport and congratulates Mark Ingram on being selected. But the giant albatross, that other tweet, still hangs in the balance.

Those who still say the tweet had to do with the Hornets are Reggietards.

He just twat about how good Ingram is and how he'll benefit the Saints backfield just like he did at Bama. What do we take away from this?

Reggie is still under contract and they're going to work with him to reduce his pay. SP LOVES Reggie. As long as Reggie isn't expecting too much, he's not going anywhere.

There's nothing to find out. He wasn't referring to the Hornets. There's no other reasonable interpretation. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

He's not just posting his tweet (which someone else already did), he's posting why he thinks said tweet is about Reggie and the Saints.. big difference.

Doesn't really matter one way or the other. Unless he made it after getting a phone call from Loomis or Payton it's just speculation on Reggie's part.

No way that tweet had anyhting to do with the Hornets. I don't care if he comes out later and says it did. No fricking way.

I think the wild card in all of this is whether or not Reggie utilized a DVR last night. Maybe he had paused it a couple of times so he could have been a little behind.

He has also been saying things like he will be a good addition to the "Saints" backfield and not a good addition to "OUR" backfield.

He said Saints backfield and not our backfield. Reggie isn't happy though I don't understand why he thinks this has any impact on him.

Reggie comes back if he agrees to a salary cut. His role will NOT change with Ingram on the team.

$100 says anyone who says Reggie's Tweet has to do with the Hornets also owns a Reggie #25 jersey. The timing of the tweet, the lack of clarification after the Tweet set off a media fury on Sports Center and the internet, and the Saints drafting the top RB in the Draft and resigning P.T., all point to one thing. Reggie knows if he's to stay a Saint, he's going to have to come back for $3 million tops, and he doesn't want to do it. It also shows the lack of character Reggie possesses and the stupidity of putting your knee jerk emotions out for the world to see.

I'm sure in the days to come, Reggie's P.R. firm will try to smooth things over and spin the Tweet to the Hornets, but only a blind Bush sniffer will buy it.

I also read in to that and thought it odd that he seemed to congratulate the Saints and Mark Ingram rather than sounding happy to have new stud teammate.

Saints select Mark Ingram at 10:10 P.M.

Reggie tweets, "It's been fun, New Orleans. Deuces" at 10:55 P.M. after some fans began tweeting him about the Saints drafting a running back.
