Timbers Army National Anthem
HOLY shite. This is 100000x better than some bimbo singing it at the Super Bowl.

Watch the replay.

There were six goals. You should be able to deal with watching that.

Yeah my interest in the club was galvanized after what I saw. I have a feeling the Timbers gained a lot of new fans across the country just over night

Timbers is going to show good support but they will be packed for a long time just due to the sheer fact that the field is TINY as hell.

Qwest field can hold up to 70,000+ for special events. Jeld Wen holds up to what 20,000 ?

Either way both have good atmospheres.

This was before last years renovation to Jeld Wen:

With renovation:

I picked up an interest in the team when we were talking about moving there. Last night was the first time since we decided not to move that I really regretted making that call.

Awesome night. I had chills inside the stadium multiple times not from the cold either. We've been doing this for several years now and it's awesome the rest of the country can see it finally that we're in mls.

one of my good friends from back home has been living in portland for a while now, he lives about a mile from the stadium and said he could hear it inside his apartment.

It's an artificial Field Turf surface: LINK

Renovation Project Details

1. Field
The playing surface will shift to the West and the North making for a more intimate and closer-to-the-action feel. It also affords more space on the East and South sides of the stadium to create new seating areas described below. New Field Turf will be installed as part of the renovation in advance of the 2011 MLS season.
