Were they gobbling well?
I'll be in st francisville sat morning. Everytime I've been they have been shut up due to fronts coming through. Except opening weekend in Mississippi. How many did you hear?

There has not been much gobbling at all this year. I think the fronts have hurt us some. From opening weekend, all of the mature birds have been with hens. Called in several jakes this year that have either been alone or with other jakes. This bird was with three hens.
Good luck this Sat. I will be back in the woods then too.

You too, congrats on the bird. I am in Houston working and your pics just killed my productivity for the rest of the week. Where I am going, I saw three long beards while bow hunting and had 5 more on camera. Havent heard a thing.
