I know they have been tinkering with his delivery.

His control has been a bit off, but when he's throwing strikes he's tough to handle. If I were Mainieri, I'd keep him in the bullpen.

He looks better, but I'm still not sold on him just yet.. After that Nicholls game, he really went downhill

He really does. Just has to put it all together.

He has great stuff. He has been struggling with his control and he seems to get rattled easily. Just needs some experience and confidence. Not pissing off the coaches would be a good thing too.

he telegraphs his curveball, but yes he may have the best "stuff" on the team after Gausman

I think he has more potential than anyone on the squad. No lie.

I've been wondering if they were working with his release point or mechanics, etc. Because he absolutely blew up-in a bad way-the last few weeks.

That last mid-week start vs ULL was particularly bad. I honestly felt sick just watching that kid when Maineri went out there. He was obviously frustrated.

Here's hoping for the best. We need a quality arm like that.

What is your definition of "stuff"? Because if it is an assortment of pitches that a pitcher can use at any time, that is not Gausman yet.

He can reach the upper 90's with his fastball, but he still has yet to fully master a consistent breaking ball to keep hitters honest.

McCune on the other hand can go to 3 different pitches, 94-95 MPH fastball, slider, changeup, and it's why he is more successful at this point.

he's more successful because he's done better at hitting his spots

Beyond that, how's that Watkins dealio going for you? Weren't you defending dat dude when last we met?

I'm not defending Watkins' play because it is simply indefensible. I just don't think Edward is the answer in the field either. I think there is a good chance Watkins is back in the lineup by the season's end.

The good thing about Watkins on the bench is that it gives you a legit pinch runner while Ware is gone.

According to the gun the team uses. Don't believe CST's radar.

Believe what you want.

Granted, all 7 of those pitches were in the first 3 innings and then he fell to the 92-93 range. But he can still fire it in there hard and for strikes.
