Ending to Forrest Gump

Now watching GPB, one of the last lines in Forrest Gump, Jennie is laying on her deathbed after returning home with child and marriage,Forrest is telling her stories of the views in lives he lived before she finally returns to him, how the sunset looked in the desert, how the moon rose above vietnam, how the stars shown over the gulf waters and she states that she wishes she was there. He responds, "You were there, Jennie, you were." Best line of the movie, summed up the entire movie. And it was a long movie to sum up in one response.

She was a heartless drug addicted whore who abandoned her best friend. 10 or 15 years later, she returns and pity fricks him, gets pregnant and leaves him again.

This. I always hated how he loved her unconditionally, especially when all she ever did was shite all over him.
Forrest could have done much better than some HIV-infested crackwhore. Still tear up when he talks to her grave though..

So? jenny knew how he felt about her, and used and manipulated that when she needed to. Growing up together, they should always be FRIENDS (and even that is arguable based on the shite she put him through) at most...he should have moved on with his love long before she finally came around.
