I really really liked Gladiator, but it's not one of my 15-20 favorites.
It's not one of those movies that when it's on I feel like I have to watch it....FWIW, I feel the same way about Star Wars and Godfather movies ... really really liked them, but none are in my Top20 favorites of all time. I saw them, they were great movies, but I don't rewatch any of them on a consistent basis. Once or twice was enough for me.

Right on man. There really shouldn't be any criticizing someones favorite movie.. It's personal preference.

I love it too. One of those stop down and watch senerios for me. Most just see it as silly but it hits a chord with me for touching on some signifagent social issues.

Aliens
No idea how many times I have seen this movie. I watched it at least 3 times in the theater.

I don't think many movie buffs have A single favorite movie. I don't and I'm far from am expert
Pretty much. I counted all the movies on imdb I ranked 9/10 or 10/10 and it's a couple hundred strong out of the thousands I've seen. Don't think I could ever narrow it to just one.
So everytime this thread comes up though I always just pick a new one out of the rotation.

Another favorite of mine. One of my favorite movie moments of all time is when Jeff looks across the courtyard and only sees the glow of Thorwald's cigarette as he sits in darkness. Still gives me chills.
