This has been suggested to me by several casual and diehard fans, and I've always defended him, but now I am starting to become skeptical myself.

Yes in '06 I was praying we didn't sign him much like CLM. I also have taken much heat from saying Ott was overrated I'm his freshman season and I believe I came out on top of that too.

I think CPM is a very good coach who doesnt have a single decent asst coach. He is loyal to a fault with his coaches and some players.

The Rant has wanted/wants the football coach (1 NC), the baseball coach (1 NC), the men's basketball coach, the woman's basketball coach (justly), and the softball coach all within the same school year. Pretty impressive.
And yes, I'm aware that a few people's opinions don't make up the entire board.

I will def say you are wrong about Ott his frosh year.. Not even close to being overrated. The problem is he will dominate a team that has never seen him before.. In the SEC the book is out on him after 1 season.

The number of saves he received is 95% responsible to the offense and more importantly Micah Gibbs handling of him. His stuff is not impressive. I can stand up there and rake all day on 88mph cheese.

PM isn't the problem. Everyone thinking this LSU baseball team was going to be incredible this year was obviously delusional. Even with the cupcake schedule I'm surprised they did as well as they did going into the Florida series. Bottom line this team is missing a lot of upperclassmen leadership, don't have any real studs that are pitching, and just don't have the overall horses that we had a few years ago. It just takes time.
LSU is going to be fine, I think next year they can be pretty good and if everyone stays and the team continues to develop then 2013 could be a big year. People forget how many really good players and stud pitching we had on that 2009-2010 squad.

That is true about Ott; he is one of those players that PM is way too loyal towards
