every year someone is awarded S&C coach of the year. Moffit is good, but i'm sure there are 5 other S&C coaches in the SEC that does the job just as well.

I don't know...I'm sure if I spent a considerable amount of time researching strength coaches around the country I could find one but I really don't care enough to do so.
I'm not making any claim regarding Moffit. Some on here are making the claim that he is the greatest conditioning coach in the country. Let them do the research.

The research shows that as far as I can tell he has more national championships under his belt than any other S&C coach.
I'm pretty sure he has the most 1st round NFL draft picks too.

Just yesterday one scout at the Combine said that what is hurting Drake Nevis' draft stock more than anything is...you guessed it...his conditioning. He said that Nevis simply cannot withstand constant pounding and will in fact wear down.
Link?
To me that doesn't sound like something a scout would decide to say to the general public. It does, however, sound like the stuff you'd likely get from an "expert" or "guru" type or random internet asshat.

15 reps for a cornerback is enough.. especially when he has long arms. I'm pretty sure PP's max is probably over 300.. repetitions and one-rep-max are completely two different things.
PP's squat max is over 500lbs.. it accounts for his vertical leap (39"-40" I think..) and explosiveness. Lets all hope he achieves his 4.2 forty.
BTW, PP's BP max in high school was 185. I'd say he improved in 3 years.

No link. I cannot remember the name of the site...I looked through many. It is a real statement from a printed legit site though...no sketchy blog. Believe it or not, does not really matter to me.
The quote was indeed from a scout whose name was not disclosed. It was in the context "according to one scout." Now, I fully stipulate that whoever wrote the story...I do remember that it was a long article where they broke down just about every DL...could possibly have made up the quote to make his own article sound more legit. I have no way of knowing whether or not that is the case.
The article spent a lot of time praising Dareus.

I'd bet it's at or around 350.

Me too.
But if anyone wants to question how strong he tackles go watch PP7 take on Trent Richardson at the goal line.
Whoa... I'll never forget that tackle. Yes, Richardson scored by reaching out and barely getting the ball nose across the goal line. It did take several minutes of official review to confirm the TD. But PP7 played him man to man and only gave up about 1 yard while coming from middle of the field. On the play, Richardson was injured and did not return for the rest of the game. In other words, Richardson payed the price vs. PP7 for that play. This told me all I wanted to know about how good P. Peterson is/was....
Dude will make it big in the NFL...

Richardson is the strongest cat on the Bama team, so that was all I need to see.
Tiger In NY - I concur.
PP7 may not make his goal of a 4.2 40, but he won't need to do this either. 15 reps of 225 is a respectable stat for a CB (or even SS/FS). 4.3 to 4.5 time in the 40 would also not disappoint me re. his overall performance. His "laying the wood" to Richardson is (you can bet) firmly entrenched in NFL scouts' minds. In other words, he can compete and he is a winner. By the way, Mr. Heisman Cam Newton may have carried him for 3 extra yards when he scored but the fact is Peterson tackled him and brought him down in the end zone when none of the other Tiger tacklers seemed to be able to do that. Peterson will do just fine on the next level.

Freakishly long arms make the bench press quite a bit harder...

15 reps is weak for someone over 200lbs.
Now in saying that not sure how much the benchpress shows how good of a corner back he can be.

these S&C coach of the year award is given out yearly by several different publications. its not like just b/c LSU has Moffitt, LSU atheletes are at a huge advantage over other top tier SEC football programs.

So you can also run a sub 4.4 forty, vertical jump 40" and broadjump 11 feet, return kickoffs and punts? Oh, and also cover Julio and Green one on one. Yeah you are a freak. Got your millions yet?

When I was in my mid 20's I could do more than 15 reps with 225lbs and I only weighed 170lbs. I didn't even consider myself strong compared to the guys I worked out with.
Sorry but 15 reps for someone over 200lbs is weak..
I am not taking a shot at him I think he is a heck of an athlete and a great representitive of LSU. Plus like I said for a corner back it really doesn't matter.

I like your Saints idea...
Didn't Deion only run the 40 at his combine and left cuz he ran like a 4.3...
I remember him saying its not like he will have to bench press Rice on the field
