All those are great. I'll add the opening scene to X-Men 2. Perhaps the most awesome scene ever for any action or comic book movie.

The I drink your milkshake scene was pretty damn good.

I remember sitting in the theater and watching this like it was yesterday. My jaw was on the floor after that scene.

quote:Yes. The most awesome character from X2. Who was not in X3 at all, yet another reason that movie blows arse.

The death scene from THE CHAMP with Rick Schroder.

How about the scene in Apocalypse Now where they are cutting back and forth between the assassination of Kurtz and the slaughter of the ox? (Or water buffalo or whatever it was.)

I really like the scene at the end of Donnie Darko where he comes to grip with his sacrifice (no spoilers) then Mad World plays and you see all the related peoples reactions.

The difference in Singer and Ratner's directorial styles is almost night and day in the X-Men movies.

Just because I watched this movie last night. And no, it's certainly not the best, but I love it.
5th Element fight.
I just like the way this movie was done.

That is a very good action/comedy/sci-fi movie. I love it.

Love the 5th Element, what scene is it? I can't watch at work

The opera/fight.

so far i've listed cool scenes, but sometimes a great scene has to elicit an emotion and not just a "eff yeah, that was cool"
in swingers, when mikey struggles through that answering machine scene, i cringe.
most guys certainly share some degree of empathy with him in this scene and it was pulled off well.
i thought of this because the madsen "stuck in the middle with you" scene from reservoir dogs also makes me cringe but for different reasons.
another one is hoffman, in marathon man. the effing drill. i think of that scene every time i go to the dentist.

also the opening scene in star wars IV. the long shot on the empire ship and the entrance of vader.
effing hitchcock. how did i forget hitchcock? this thread should be named after him.
the scene in the club in goodfellas. the long take.

The ending tracking shot of Come and See. It's the most haunting ending I've ever seen.
