What did you do today between 2:30 and 6:30? Did you really get your fat arse up from the computer for 4 hours? Did you have some type of physical activity or did you just take a dump and a nap?
120,000 posts and counting!! You're a fricking hero!

There will be a place for Ridley. He's a winner.

I can't believe so many people take this personal. It's embarrassing.

Have you watched the NFL...ever? Arian Foster, Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, and Chris Johnson are all home run hitting backs.
Cool. So which one has a Super Bowl ring?

FWIW Roger, I agree with you.
All these people saying that Ridley's coming out early is a way to prolong his career, are assuming that he'll have a 10-year career. I don't see that happening as an everydown RB.
I would have liked to see him don the P&G another year and get himself a ring.

Why are you so committed to it? It's not like you.

boom, that's the reason. i too would have loved to see him back, but people in here are thinking more as lsu fans than what was in ridley's best interest for his career, imo.

I am not committed to it. I have just taken abuse in this thread for stating Ridley should have stayed in school. It's not that difficult to understand. Ridley could have honed his skills and created value by staying another year.

most are saying he has a chance to have a decent career as a role player if he makes the most of his opportunities, and that isn't going to change by staying another year at LSU

Conflicting reports on his 40...

The 6-foot-1, 227-pound bruiser from the University of Tennessee ran an unremarkable 4.7-second 40-yard dash at his school's pro day, wasn't selected in the draft, and wound up signing with the Texans as a free agent

Foster posted times of 4.73 and 4.69 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Foster's best time in the 40 is about 0.14 seconds slower than the benchmark scouts look for in running backs.

40 Time: 4.68 40 Low: 4.58 40 High: 4.76

He ran just a 4.7 40 yard dash and wound up undrafted, though some teams expressed interest. The Texans signed him to a two-year deal, placed him on their practice squad, then added him on the roster late in the year.

So if it's going to be the same opportunity, why not dwell in greatness for another year?

The only thing he needs to improve on is speed, and most people his age do not. So what was the point in coming back.
His draft stock most likely would not have changed with another year.

His versatility is what he needed to improve on. Not his speed.

because he can get paid to dwell in mediocrity. also, what else does he have to prove? he got a ring in 2007. he finished out his career w/ an all-sec selection and 100 yard rushing performance in the cotton bowl
