I do not think there is an anti-Ridley crew, just one that many created in their minds because they disagree. Much like the "negatiger" moniker, when someone isn't positive about a player/coach/situation people have started with the "hate" card.

Ridley was slow, many expected him to be slow, the scouts reviews on him have not been overall favorable. Many project him a late round to undrafted pick. Some individuals may be harsher than others but some are just as delusional as those being harsh.

Supposedly some scouts told him he'd be a 4th-6th round pick regardless of if he came out this year or next. He's not really going to be able to get much faster and there's obviously a chance for injury. Therefore he he's leaving early.

Why is it so hard for some to understand this? This is an easy risk/reward scenario. His stock is not going to skyrocket, and if he does have the talent to make it, he's better off getting his next 150 carries collecting a paycheck than risking getting hurt in college. I am of the opinion that RBs should ALWAYS leave as soon as they can.

It's amazing how truly idiotic some people are. Realism isn't hatred. While most LSU fans would like Ridley to go in the first three rounds, it isn't happening. No, i don't hate Ridley and in fact would have liked him back at LSU to pad his resume.

Being realistic about Ridleys chances doesn't make one a hater.

Yeah, I don't see how trying to be realistic about where Ridley may get drafted is being "anti-Ridley" I thought the kid was a beast this year for LSU and will always root for him. Doesn't mean I am blindly going to assume he is a 3rd round talent.

Also, the change to 4.66 is much better than 4.71. Good job Stevan.

In real time, it isn't. People get spoiled by the faux 40 times listed for recruits and college players. In reality, few run sub 4.5 40's.

Should Ridley make a NFL roster it will be as a 4th down/goal line back and special teams.

Not saying he is Emmitt Smith or Walter Payton, but they didn't run much better than that. His strength was never his speed, it was his vision, power, and cutting ability.

LaGarrett Blount ran a 4.7. He was the only rusher from last years class to rush for 1k yards.

Agreed. What I get ticked at is the bunch that says he has average feet at best and lacks explsion. WTF can they be watching.

Which one's were 1st team ALL SEC? Compare apples to apples...Ridleys pro career has yet to unfold. Compare similar facts.

If you really wanna compare apples to apples, give them the same offensive lines.

We watched a quality college player that will probably not make it big at the next level. No one is bashing Ridley.

Blount ran a 4.70 at the combine according to nfldraftscout.com. He was also a top performer in the 3 cone drill. Maybe Ridley can duplicate.

Have you watched the NFL...ever? Arian Foster, Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, and Chris Johnson are all home run hitting backs.

I am talking about league wise. sure their will always be a few, but for the most part the RB position has become a committee job in the NFL.

You're less than a year older than Ridley.

Do you feel you've seen enough LSU RBs &/or NFL RBs to qualify your post?

Blount far outweighs Ridley.

Yeah, not sure why this is so difficult for people to understand. He would get more carries next year had he stayed than he ever will in the NFL. It' doesn't mean I don't like Ridley, but feel his best contributions would have been on the collegiate field, next year.

Because you are making very large assumptions. You have no idea if Ridley will be drafted or where. And you certainly have no clue what he can do if he does get drafted.

What you do know is that his performances at the combine, some good, some not good, likely takes him out of position for the first 3 rounds.

Most expected this anyway.
