It wasn't an honest conversation. It was you saying he couldn't get past linebackers. Watch some game film. He was a first team all sec back and the ONLY offensive weapon on that stinking offense. Did he run a bad time, yes. That seems. To be cause for celebration amoung some LSU fans.
fricking unbelievable.
TTF, he is family to me.

he isn't an explosive back, are you trying to say otherwise?

I was just curious. The 40 time really isn't that bad. There's definitely a place for him in the NFL. You're probably better off not reading these threads, as people are always going to criticize.

bragging about 7-10 yard runs in college isn't really helping the cause of proving that ridley will be a good NFL back
What's wrong with 7-10 yards? If a RB get's 4 he did his job, especially if 4 yards weren't there to get. It's obvious that you are anti-ridley and that I am pro-ridley, so I'm going to quit arguing with you. We'll see what happens in the rest of the combine and then in the draft and the season next year.

He hits the hole as hard and quick as any back Lsu has had in a long long time. I'm disappointed in his time, he has been running in the 4.5 range for a month now

You seem to be a little sensitive about the subject

Hand timed maybe.

my point earlier was that he had trouble beating SEC linebackers and of course secondaries as he isn't explosive. getting a few 7-10 yard runs doesn't really counter that. the stats against legit SEC competition speak for themselves.

Yeah, but wait for that task where they run through a brick wall. Ridley's been working on that one.

Ridley would be a stud in the Saints offense and Saints are looking for a back in the mid-late rounds.
Match made in heaven.

the saints need a fast smaller back to counter with ivory.

Generous hand time...maybe...he's never looked like a 4.5 guy. He's a fullback and always has been. He'll be a 6th-7th round flyer for some team. Not sure why anyone that watched him play thought he would turn in faster than 4.65.

Officially a 4.67
Ingram ran a 4.62
Ingram ran a 4.62

Ivory's running style will never allow him to survive an NFL season.

fine, that's why you have another RB to take the load off and has a different skill set.

The days of the 1600 yard home run hitting RB are gone atleast for now.
Have you watched the NFL...ever? Arian Foster, Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, and Chris Johnson are all home run hitting backs.

He only had 137 carries this year and still missed 3 games due to injury. I like the guy, but not sure he's more than a short yardage/goalline back. I'd love for the Saints to take Ingram in the 1st, but I'm sure they'll take yet another DL.

the saints need to spend the 1st defensively. there is just a flat out lack of talent all along the front seven. outside of Ellis, Vilma, and a non-fat Will Smith most of those guys would be backups on other teams.

If Ridley makes an NFL team beyond the practice squad, I would be surprised. Good luck to him.

I'm sure DL will be the pick in the 1st. Just seems like DL is the pick every year, yet it never pays off. I doubt they add a RB via the draft this year.
