The Advocate's food section is now

headed up by Stephanie Riegel, a skilled journalist and a babe, to boot.
Hopefully, this will improve their craptacular reviews of lame places, unless of course you want to know how many times someone's iced tea got refilled at a freakin' Chinese buffet for God's sakes.
Although, today I saw a pork taco recipe that uses mozzarella cheese, so I am not holding my breath.

The worst is the Lisa Tramontana who reviews sushi bars but will only eat California rolls. Let's hope it gets better, but I won't believe it until they rip a place like Boutin's or Joe's Crap Shack. The motto of the restaurant review section is "if you can't say something nice, go review another chick joint".

I've seen one too many reviews of Chili's in the Advocate's food section. So we'll see if it improves.

Face it- if you're using the Advocate food reviews for anything more than entertainment- something is quite wrong. All the info anyone would ever want on places to eat can be found right here ...

I hate when people judge a restaurant by how many times they can refill their drink. Dude if you drink 8 Dr. Peppers in one sitting that's your problem. Maybe you should do something crazy like go to a restaurant for the quality of the food.

The reviews are not the bailiwick of the Food editorial staff, but the Entertainment/Fun staff. The lame reviews will continue...
