I know a shite ton of students are going as well as the always big group of alumni from Baton Rouge. On top of that they have a high rate of LSU alumni in texas. It would be great to get the stadium record. I would like it just cause Jerry would be pissed.

Cowboys Stadium will never be ready in time.

If they get those last 400 seats put in, that might happen.

They most likely set up the extra bleachers. They add them in the party pass/standing room section for the biggest games, but I doubt they would use them for the LSU Oregon game. They have only done so for the first game in the stadium and the Super Bowl to my knowledge. They added about 20,000 extra seats for those games. They didn't have them during the Cotton Bowl.

If we couldn't set the record while playing Texas A&M, then what makes you think it would be set with us playing Oregon?

Many reasons. We are ranked number 1. First games are always packed and with us being ranked so high many will go. Also because it will be a better game(on paper). Also I work in career services and I know that many lsu grads who lost jobs are getting jobs(might not play a big role).

We will be Top 5 but not #1. (IMO)

We are already number one in some polls. That being said none of the major ones that matter.

I highly doubt LSU / Oregon is going to top the Cotton Bowl attendance let alone the Super Bowl.

You are going to be right. I was just thinking it would be cool to break it.

Thread title edit suggestion:

"It would be great if everybody who buys a ticket has a place to sit in Cowboys stadium."

I don't think we touch the record, but you don't see the difference between those 2 games?

Well they only allowed the 80k or so for the cotton bowl. If they would have opened the stadium up fully there would have been a lot more.

There were empty seats in the upper corners for the cotton bowl fwiw. You're not going to get 105k in Dallas for LSU/Oregon unless tickets are dirt cheap...which they are not.

The numbers don't add up. Max LSU has ever traveled = 35K. Oregon did not even sell their 10K for the ship but lets give it to them. Total is 45K. Even with a large LSU fan base in Dallas, 60K is not going to be covered. It will be an easy ticket.

I seewhat youre saying but Oregon is pretty fricking far away from Dallas. I think the distance will outway the extra hype for the home opener.
