That whole team was nasty! Except for the one F-UP against Florida that year. Never understood how we only managed 7 damn points in that game.

My fault. Only game I made that season.

According to maximus it was Les Miles' fault.

It's funny how people tried to compare the 2010 defense to 2003 early on in the year last season.
How quickly people forget.

It was one of two game I caught at Tiger Stadium that year. I never thougth after watching that no show LSU would win the BCS title.

There was no comparison. Every line of defense on that defense was better. The front four was the key, got consistent pressure without the need for the blitzing. This made the blitz packages virtually unstoppable. In fairness, though, the SEC that year was down. Outside of LSU, UGA and Mississippi, no team was ranked in the Top 25 I believe allowing us to substitute a lot and rest players. But, that team had the killer instinct. Led games at halftime like Alabama (17-0), Miss. State (24-0), Arizona (45-0), La. Tech (45-0), Auburn (21-0 and 31-0 after the 3rd), Arkansas (34-14), La-Monroe (35-0) and a few other blow-outs. Only close games were Georgia (7-3)Ole Miss (10-7), Florida (7-10) and Oklahoma (14-7).

Had seven future NFL starters in that starting 11. The other four went on to play in the NFL as reserves. That doesn't include Randell Gay or other backups who also went to/still play in the league.

That defense brought pain to the QBs. Wish Chavis liked to bring the pressure

Watching that game and others later. to me it's obvious that NS brought LSU back and LSU made NS. Whether the SEC was down that year or not that team was exceptional.
And yeah NS did seem to lose games that made one think WTH!
