im 7 episodes in on the pacific, and while it is awesome, at this point I give the nod to BOB ...

I wish they would have interviewed vets the same way they did in BOB

bob is probably one of the top 2 or 3 films of my lifetime and so many people don't even know about it ... i always viewed it as a saving private ryan rip off, until I actually watched it ...the I realized it was the other way around BY A LONG SHOT

Band of Brothers is the greatest 10 hours of TV that's ever been made.

I've only seen the pacific and loved it. Never got around to watchin BoB.

From the responses in this thread, looks like I need to make it a priority.

The Marine in me wants to say The Pacific, however I think Band of Brothers will never ever be topped.

It was just too different. They should have picked one of the 3 guys maybe, and followed him the whole time. It was jumping around, and had gaps in time in places of up to two years.

BoB followed a single group of guys, from training to the resolution of the war. Maybe there wasn't a similar story to tell in the Pacific... but I was pretty disappointed with the final product.
