Why no Line Backers?

With the Chief being a "LB" specialist, why did we not sign even one line backer this year? Was it a thin year for them or do we not need them?

You are incorrect, yet it is strange that we don't attract MORE LBs.

Trevon Randle LB League City, Texas Clear Springs HS 6-1 205
ETA: must not pay as well as Clemson.

Trevon Randle 4* OLB from Texas. Rated #8 OLB in the country.

Trevon Randle, LB out of Texas signed, and yes it was a thin year for LB's in Louisiana. Next year is supposed to be loaded. We recruited a 5 star LB out of Miss., CJ Johnson and he signed with Ole Miss. There are several old threads on this same subject that will give you more info, just go back a few pages.

Trevon will play all 3 LB position at the same time. And tackle sideline to sidline with his crankshaft.

It's without a doubt the most disappointing aspect of this class and I am a big Randle fan. This year's LB class was fvcking stacked and we could've loaded up some serious depth here.

No, NEXT year's LB class is stacked...in state.

Also, Chief likes to turn big DB's into the hybrid linebackers that play in his scheme. Speed, Speed, Speed with some pop!

LA is stacked next year with LB...probably sign 4 or 5 next year

didnt our 3 deep have only 1 senior in it?

The No. 1 reason was the lack of LB prospects from Louisiana. Next, this was also a light year for LSU's traditional pipeline states.
Actually, LSU is quite loaded at the OLB position. Plenty of depth and talent there.
