Not a huge loss stats-wise but another blow for a Kansas State team that started the year ranked #3 in the country, is now 14-8, and in all likelihood will not be making the Big Dance.

Is this the same team that was pre-season top 3? Meaning, has there been any injuries or suspensions that has led to the down fall or were they just overrated?

This. They had a nice run in the tourney last year, but Martin is finding it's much harder to take everyone's best shot every week than to sneak up on them. That and lots of off-the-court issues this season.

I don't think UNC is a flop, they were definitely over rated pre-season, but thats not their fault, they are awfully young

Frank Martin may seem like a dick on the court but would do anything for his players off of it. Most of them respect him and look up to him as he looks out for them. My buddy is a walk on and says he has the utmost respect for FM, kind of like Bob Knight or Woody Hayes. They lost their two best players last year in Colon and Denis Clemente. Pullen is good but he is cocky and has no leadership. If you watched the KU vs KSU, which I was at, he played no defense and was lazy on offense. Spending most of his time at the top of the key hoping something would happen. Nobody could argue that KSU was overrated, especially when picked to win the big 12, but they shouldn't be playing this bad. Losing Judge will hurt also, the dude is a 5 star recruit who put up decent numbers. Just has been in Martins dog house all year, along with Kelly.
