yea cause a .45LC is going to make a follow up shot real easy and accurate.
So you honestly can't think of anything you'd rather shoot less at an intruder? Its really the last thing you'd rather shoot?
Its an exaggeration.
You make a lot of "this is the absolute best/worst thing" comments.

ok guys, listen to what I'm saying.. This is THE reason for my buying the Judge.. It is for the wife. SHE is a pretty good shot with a pistol, she also has a 357.. BUT, in case an intruder ever breaks in on her and I'm not there.. SHE has someting within arms reach on her bedside table that she can point and shoot, in the dark, and even with adrenalin, nerves, anxiety, etc. etc.,, I feel confident that SHE can run somebodys arse out of the room, without having to "aim" for a vital area, when she may or may not be able to see..That's my reason for HER to have that gun.. I prefer my 12 gauge, for ME...
I hear ya and you're reasoning isn't all bad. I just think the gun gives people a false sense of security for one because of the misconceptions of having a handheld "shotgun". Plus I think both of the rounds it shoots are not made for the situations the gun is geared toward, unless you use it for shooting snakes.

ok captain literal. There are many other rounds I would like to have at my disposal if I needed to make multiple follow up shots. better? We all know how much you love the Judge. It's ok...

Just take a look at the snake thread and that should be reason enough to own a judge. .410 birdshot >>>>> any other rat shot.

You just have a visceral need to tell everyone how much it sucks on all accounts, without knowing any of the details of their situation.
Here's a tip for you... there's a lot of guns out there, in a lot of different styles and different calibers, that do a lot of things for different people. Ease off the hyperbole and the bias and people might take you a little more seriously.

a false sense of security

I agree, it's awesome for snakes.

dude, just like the last time the OP asked for opinions. I wasn't even the first person to say it sucked.

Yes and I own quite a few of them. If I was so biased toward certain things like you say I am my collection would be much smaller. I just think the judge is a dumbass gun.

Well you said she also has a .357 so I'm guessing she knows her way around a gun. the sense of security probably isn't so false with her.

This is what I trying to say, but I got beat to it. It's not for me to use..but my gf can at least hit someone with it..an two or three shots at someone an their arse is going to be running.

Maybe they will be able to hit something if you have loaded with shot. Then again they have a better chance of actually being hurt cutting themselves on glass while coming through the window. I think you people have watched too much tv.

I hate that this point needs to keep being made in these kinds of threads, but...
If you miss what you're aiming for, it won't matter at all what kind of gun or round you are shooting.
If you hit what you're aiming for, it matters more, but not much in the usual home defense scenario.
If you own a gun of any kind. Learn to shoot it, at least moderately well. Practice with it.
If you don't own a gun, find one that suits your needs, feels good in your hand, and that you can hit something with.
Everything else is academic.

lol..I really wasn't. I have never seen one single person at a range with a judge.

Perfect for shooting rats and snakes while brushhogging.

I don't see much "training" going on at the range with almost any weapon, to be honest. I don't know that its more or less prevalent with Judge owners, but most people at the range appear to be slinging lead for fun rather than practice.
The people that I have seen firing "The Judge" at the range, did not appear to be doing more than just blasting away for fun.
But I've seen just as many people doing the same thing with everything from an AK to a .22 to a Sig.
I think you're point is a good one, that people shouldn't buy the Judge for home defense, thinking its going to do anything special that other handguns won't. But by the same token... those people could pretty much buy an HK USP and its not going to change anything except they may be able to send more stray rounds into the ceiling, floor, or the nursery.
Get a gun. Learn to use it. That's what's important. If someone "likes" the Judge, and can reliably hit the 10 ring from the bed to the door, then I think they are better off than a lot of people with "better" guns.
