The new bats were out in force. They hit two homers in a 6 inning game plus many HARD hit balls. The bats are not a HUGE deal like many said. Mikie hit one off the score board that would clear any park in the country. The other HR by the juco catcher was a no doubter as well.(sorry for spelling on phone).

not to be an arse, but he saw one session and LSU happened to hit a few out.

All reviews on the bats have been horrible. Take that for what it's worth.

I'm afraid that they ruined college baseball. I'm hoping I'm wrong

I watched a scrimmage last year and it looked to me that the bats will be a big deal. Again, just one scrimmage, but I think they will make a noticeable difference.

I watched some last year. Not to be an arse but the bats are not the end of the world like many think.

Watched 2 games this weekend @ Goldsby field between BRCC and Panola College. Saw some pretty well hit balls that I think normally would have gone out fall short of the warning track. Only saw 1 HR in 2 games and that ball was crushed. No doubt the bats were a factor even though Goldsby has traditonally been a pitchers park. The new bats are absolutly dead. By the way, both teams use Easton and I believe thats what LSU uses.

I think Gausman, Eades, and Alsup have looked to be the clear starters so far.

I'd be surprised if Tyler Jones isn't starting right out of the chute. LSU's mid-week starters are going to be pretty good this year. Eades is going to be something special in a couple of months IMO. He's still not quite back to where he was pre-injury. Still can't believe a guy with Gausman's talent didn't get drafted higher than he did but sure am glad about it.
