quote:Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this a Saints message board? It's unfortunate that the best Saints message board is on an LSU related website. That's a fact that none of us can do anything about and only seems to be brought up by LSU homers.
Why do you post on an LSU site if you can't stand the mere mention of an LSU player?
As far as LSU homer bitches (not to be confused with LSU fans), I fricking hate 'em too and I wish they'd stick to the rant with the rest of the purple and gold-goggled rantards. If you've got nothing better to bring to the Saints message board than wanting the Saints to move up 20-something spots to draft an overrated LSU cornerback then I'm talking to you.
When you come in here take off the purple and gold glasses and put on the black and gold.

not a roundballer at all and haven't ever visited the Hornets Board, but just wondering if they get any of this?
To the homers: Before suggesting Tigers for the Saints do at least some minimal research. Even the Tiger-sensitive posters don't mind reasonable suggestions. DT, LB, & RB could all be on the Saints shopping list this draft. Nevis in the 2nd, Sheppard in the 3rd, and Ridley in the 5th (if had one) are picks some may not go for but that could be forwarded without ridicule. Not having a clue about draft value gets ridicule no matter where they're from. Not knowing Saints needs (suggesting Jasper or Tolliver)will get some flak too.
To the pissed off: no or less response to dumb threads will help them die faster than inflaming the issue

That would be awesome. At least we could have someone who would at least have a threat of bringing one to the house. I don't think we've brought a kick past the 20 all year.

You're only half wrong, but fully retarded.

I agree not every LSU player is destined to be a Saint, I will say this PP7 is NOT over rated, dude runs a 4.2. Kid is a freak. A much better prospect than Jenkins he could eat Jenkins lunch in coverage.
there are other Saints boards not run by an LSU homer maybe you should check those out so you dont have to run into people like me. I love the Saints and LSU.

Are you dumb. Im not saying we have to get him. But this has to be one of the stupidest comments i have ever seen. We are far from stacked. I can remeber countless times where porter/robinson/greer all got burned this year. You're other statement had me picking my jaw up from the ground. Overrated? That a joke? He is only projected to be a top 3 pick and you're saying he is overrated? Not to mention his return skills are unbelivable. It's idiots like you that get wound up and I know for sure you are only basing you're arguement on one game ( Alabama) where jones pretty much owned him i have to say. But he has been up against jones 2 other times and shut him down, green he shut him down, and many others.

And it's only the begining of the 'lets trade up' threads. As someone said...please don't respond and leave it at Zero.

Countless times? Ya might wanna review. ALL CBs get burned on occasion. You can find Greer on plenty of top 10 corner lists. 2nd Rd pick Porter is a playmaker that is solid at minimum. A 1st Rd pick backing them up bodes well for the future. Torrence is decent enough backup and ST material. Gay prolly back a lot cheaper or gone but he is a top notch #3 guy. Now in fact CB might be the deepest position on the team. To suggest picking another corner, much less trading up to draft one, is nonsensical at best.
Sure Peterson is good and won't last past #7 but he's no discussion for the Saints needs or pick #24.

fwiw put in the same situation, i think he could become very close to the next Polomolu.

this post is full of fail. as blues has pointed out, WE ARE STACKED at that position.
ugh. homer posts are so ridiculously horrid. and yes, he's overrated.

Truer words never spoken. He is waaay overrated IMHO.
He got away with too much in college because he was faster than most. NFL receivers will take him to the cleaners.
Posted on 1/25/11 at 12:23 pm to WHATDOINO
He won't be faster than most NFL receivers?

I agree with this. Move him to safety, where he could use his speed to make plays
Posted on 1/25/11 at 12:28 pm to DBG
Was he faster than the Julio, or the Penn St guys, a$m guys ?
The answer is sure. He gives too much cusion and has average coverage skills
Just my opinion though. We will see
