It is. So we've got the school in dead last and two more schools 3 and 4 spots away. Ouch.

Piss off number 1! Your team is only 158 spots higher than Louisiana's highest team.

And I edited to add Tulane. I looked for them but overlooked them somehow.

3 LA schools in the bottom 5

That is mind boggling considering how athletic this state is.

Meh. I don't really know that we're the number 1 team in the nation. Either way, basketball is 'meh' as well.
... still nice to be on top though.

No reason why LSU can't be a top 25 team most years. They have the talent in the state to do it and are the only major university.

This is not only false but has little relevance. Small schools can actually compete in basketball and baseball on the college level. It's not like football.

These two don't seem to recruit in-state talent. There are Louisiana players making an impact all over the country, but LSU and Tulane let them all go elsewhere.

I was thinking about them the other day while watching the local sports. How in the world can they not be competitive in basketball, at least in the SWAC? Once again, just the Baton Rouge area alone should produce several good players a year for Southern? I have Kenny Almond say that when he was at Woodlawn he would beg Southern to take some of his players and they wouldn't. All those state titles between Woodlawn and Glen Oaks, and now Scotlandville, yet Southern is awful in basketball and they probably play in front of about 347 people at home games. All I can say is

You obviously have not seen the talent level of La. High School Basketball the last couple of years.

Yeah, Conroy is certainly doing a good job. His offense is really fun to watch.

So how is LA High School BB this season compared to the last couple of seasons? Regardless of classifications which teams comprise the top five teams in the state?
