so what is sid edwards' deal of late ?? is he holding out for the catholic high job ? he has been in and out of jobs with extremely short stints since he left redemptorist .. i am assuming his family life with his child's issues has to be stressful on him .. but he has been bouncing around a lot lately ..

From what I understand he is in a gravy position as the AD of all of Central schools.

So why does he apply for coaching jobs all over town? Sounds like a strange behavior if he's happy as AD

Because he is the best football coach around. Everybody wants him, great X's and O's coach, organized, hard worker, and leader. That is why schools want him.

No one is questioning why he is wanted. They are questioning why does he leave stops so often. If he has a gravy position that he is happy at he should stay put and not even apply elsewhere.

I heard, what is probably just one of my co-workers throwing shite against a wall to see what sticks, that the diocese is considering basically moving Redemptorist to somewhere in the Bluebonnet to Highland Road exit I-10 corridor.

Yea right...rhs will never move

The school is at it's location for certain reasons

For the record, Sid did not "apply" for the RHS job. He was contacted by several admin people & boosters about the job and what, if he was interested, would it take to get him back. For know other reason than the fact that he grad there and began his HS career there, he "looked around" but never considered the job in the slightest.

Im glad that they found a RHS grad to take the coaching position. He understands the program and understands the school and the enviroment.

RHS has had alumn for head coaches

Guilbeaux (back in the 80's)..Hes the PE teacher still.

Edwards

Mistretta

and now Vice

Vice is gonna do good. He has school spirit and I hope he can bring that back to RHS....(the kids need it)

Also: The RHS vs Dunham game this year is gonna be VICIOUS....Pupil vs the teacher

Cant wait..Hope its at the rock

this.

just doesn't seem like he's content anywhere over the last five or so years ... the guy busted his arse commuting to nicholls state to finish his degree to get a head coaching job .. lands the HC job at his alma mater, wins state championships .. was a hot commodity to the point that local universities -- LSU included -- were looking at him ... then he leaves redemptorist and has been floating around between jesuit, menard, central, etc. ever since ... like i said, i know he has some issues at home with a child and he cited those as the reasons when he left redemptorist .. he just hasn't been consistent with his reasons for leaving redemptorist .. he said he was spending too much time away from his family, then takes jobs in new orleans and alexandria ?

among others, the land and most of the buildings/improvements are completely paid for ... if they move, they have to start over with a fat mortgage that the enrollment just won't support ... but i could see them competing with parkview baptist for students if they did move .. catholic and episcopal are on different levels academically ..
