I know some funny math can go into recruiting, but this looks extreme.

So y'all only signed 15 last year?

Probably has to do with how many players left the team

I think it was like 18. Carrolls last couple classes were small so there are spots available that SC is taking advantage of. Remember they are appealing so they can load up now and push the scholarship crunch to start next year

They are appealing the decision. Hoping for a reduction, ans passing it on to subsequent years. Really thumbing their nose at the NCAA IMO.

I think they appealed.

since they appealed, it has not yet kicked in, that they dont get 10 per year for three years.

I am keeping a candle lit, that the appeal results in the NCAA taking not just 30, but 33, adding one per year extra to discourage such Houdini acts, escaping justice.

They have a lot of early enrollees because they signed a small class last year. Granted a lot of their early enrollees are just marginal JUCO players who not a lot of folks really wanted. USC just needs bodies at this point.

they are banking on the ruling not being made by signing day. The appeal has yet to be heard and is scheduled in the next week or so with tons of documents.

After the promises he broke at Tenn. and rules he broke, I dont think he really cares about consequences at this point.

I am sure they do, but I do not know what it is. I would think he would just choose the best of the crop and others can transfer or whatever.
