Who gets it next year? Is the tradition done since Murphy didn't do anything? What say you?

I like it myself. TM would be a good choice.

I like it...give it to either TM or ZM. Just make sure the person who has it actually plays and is good. Don't give it to JJ...I'd laugh if the one arm kicking bandit got it, an booted a 60yard FG.

JJ or LBH. It'll probably go to Baker though.

The #18 isn't give to necessarily the best player. It's give to the one who has shown signs of a true leader and has contributed to the team. RM has done that.

I say we assume that Murphy was a leader in the locker room and inspired other to greatness. Therefore the tradition lives on!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the tradition is that the number should go to a senior (or fourth year player?). Right?

In that case, Brandon Taylor is the guy. Injuries kept him off the field this year, his senior leader ship will be valuable with the losses on the D-side of the ball, and that D-backfield could cause havic in college football next year. Great for the legacy of No. 18.

You couldn't go wrong with JJ, Baker, D. Peterson, etc.

J Lee probably deserves it. I just don't think he will see any playing time next year with ZM coming in.

Yeah I thought it went to the senior or 4th year player too... Which in that case either Taylor, D peterson, brooks, or baker

Why. Not like starting traditions or something.

From what i understand, the #18 (new) tradition is EXACTLY the type of things you want your program celebrating.
