It worries me that he was a standout player for one year.

or could be awesome until someone takes his knee out

too bad he'll be #1 overall most likely. Ironically he was a 3* OL when he went to AU. Suck on that rivals

Nick seems like a team guy. I'd like to have someone that will play a little dirty on defense.

You want to be known as a dirty team? There's salty, tough, stout, etc, but dirty is not a good label.

And "Who cares, it's the NFL, not college" A dirty player is a dirty player. I don't want our Saints having someone that plays as dirty as Fairley. In the Cotton Bowl you could tell he was on a leash but still couldn't resist getting a cheap shot on a player's helmet while getting up. That's not cool stuff. He's not a role model for kids to look up to.

It still worries me. I don't blame him for cashing in, but I think defensive line is one of the hardest positions to transfer to the NFL. I'd like to have seen one more year out of him at the college level to be sure that he'd be a good pick.

I'm with the front office on taking the BPA, but if we were drafting for need, I'd go with Von Miller, Bruce Carter or Ryan Kerrigan at OLB first.

I'm not opposed to Fairley, but our bigger need (pun intended) on the DL is for a great run-stuffer. Ayodele has improved, but I still think we should upgrade the position.

Of course, OLB is the number 1 position of need.

He's an arugable chocie for #1 pick for Carolina. It wouldn't be worth it to draft a position that already has a very, very solid player there. I know partnering him up with Sedrick Ellis would be boss, but I'd rather concentrate on snagging a speed rushing, Brian Orakpo type at DE or an OLB with similar skills.
