Why do you hope he is wrong. Les is the man

i've heard same base pay, increased performance based pay, extension of terms and liberal use of the roll over, more money for assistants, more autonomy over hiring and firing, and increased say so in scheduling

a near $25M "buyout" is pretty ominous

If that's true, Alleva just got bent over as bad as Skip.

does Verge lord over Les in scheduling?

sure, if we plan on buying him out tomorrow. I would guess most every contract requires the balance to be paid if fired "without cause". The question is the rollover provision.

most every...if you don't have exit provisions, you really don't have a contract

I hear no rollover, 7 year contract, same base plus some additional bonuses, same guaranteed, 18.75 mil

I can't imagine that any of this is "contractual"

Looks like Miles arse raped LSU once again. He should write a book for other coaches.

you sound like you're speaking of 2 different things
1. a guaranteed contract
2. a contract with a buyout
you can have a buyout clause to terminate a contract early. it's a common feature

He has been legit since being at LSU. There is no reason to worry about his future success.
Miles will retire here. There is no reason to care about his buyout/extensions.

is this pro-rated over the 7 years?

He apparently got Alleva all scared he wouldn't be able to replace him, and got a big arse new contract out of it.
