A reliable source has told me that Les Miles did indeed receive an offer from Michigan last night, but it was not good enough to leave Baton Rouge for Ann Arbor.

This would contradict reports that Michigan was not really interested in Miles or that Michigan did not make an offer to him.

If true, then Michigan's AD deserves to be fired.

Why? There is a limit to how much any team can (or should) pay. Perhaps Miles was so happy here that his price to go was just too high.

No shame in that.

My guess is Michigan in fact made an offer. Something significantly lower than his current salary at LSU and with less money for a staff. Miles, as expected, would refuse it, they claim they tried and hire Hoke (the less popular option) having done their "best" to get a big name.

That is easily quite plausible and I seriously doubt they offered Les near his current LSU salary.

Yes. I do believe Crowton is gone.

And, I have never been anti-Crowton. But, I truly expect him to be gone before NSD

Because he made Michigan look bad, particularly to recruits, and settled for a coach with a lesser resume.

Chicken, what is your source? I realize you can't give a name, but is this someone in the Athletic department? Someone high up in TAF? Someone else?

I'm deathly afraid that the good offensive showing in the Cotton Bowl will save Crowton.

This. Crowton will be back and he should be supported.

JEEBUS!!

Why is that making UM look bad? He went after a successful, HIGHLY PAID, coach at a national power team and could not get him to leave his loaded team.

Wow......how in the world is that embarrassing? sheeesh
