in reality, this team was a smidge away from losing 4-5 games again this year. Luckily, superior talent won out, because coaching sure didnt.

All I am saying, dont get your hopes too far up for next year. You never know with this guy

Y'all are so full of shite.

We were just as close to playing for the NC.

karmapol1ce, I see a top-notch program who is getting better every year. If you can't see that, then save yourself the trouble and stop watching.

This has been the most successful and most fun decade any fanbase could hope for!

No we weren't.

if we lose the Tenn like we should have....

if UNC completes a pass inside their 10 yard line to win the game....

if the fake FG bounces an inch further back.......

it could have been another ugly season.

in your eyes, should UNC or Tenn have even been close? Why are those teams even playing competitive ball against us?

Let's see, since you are so big on FACTS

- the fact that you skipped 5 lines on your initial post and added, "3 nationally publicized coaching blunders "... Says volumes on how you feel.

The fact that you continue to try to 'play the fence' on this topic instead of saying, "I wish Miles was going to Michigan, 2 of his last 3 years he has sucked" OR, saying, "I'm glad we are keeping him - it allows him to keep the trend going up."

The fact that you haven't posted in ANY board other than OT, Fantasy Sports, Movie/TV, and Other Sports in over a month until today... And the last time you DID say something about the program, it was a negative comment about Miles.

LINK

All of those FACTs say plenty of how you feel about LSU's program. So yeah, you've been perfectly ambiguous on your FEELINGS while pointing out the FACTS.

I've got no problems with you calling me an idiot -- I can think and communicate with complete sentences and I am not afraid to voice my point of view.

All you have done with this thread is make some ambiguous references and avoid stating your true point -- which, as it appears was nothing more than to get people to respond to your lame arse thread.

And I got suckered into it -- so I guess for that, I am an idiot.

Now, run along child and go play in the middle of Siegen Lane.

If Hatcher hadn't been a walking cluster f*** we beat arkansas and we get to play in the Sugar Bowl. JJ doesn't shite the bed against auburn and we're playing for a NC, it goes both ways.

Should Appy st. have ever beaten michigan? Should stanford have even played against USC a few years ago when they royally upset them? No team can play their greatest football week in and week out. Auburn almost lost the USC the first time they played, then they completely destroy them the second.

You're an idiot to just assume that LSU should blow out every opponent every week. LSU almost lost to UNC and Tenn, but dismantled an a&m team that was head and shoulders better then UNC and Tennessee.

Upsets happen all the time, its a part of football.

Stop bein a little bitch expecting us to blow out every single team we play, dumbass.

I have to say I find it kinda creepy that you actually took the time to research this.

Those are a little different than just one play my friend, which determined at least 2 of our other wins.

If you cant see the difference, im sorry. JJ shite the bed all year, why would we not expect him to do so vs Auburn?

Except it's not a one year thing. It's a near 3 year trend, like the original post suggests.

App St beats Michigan maybe once every 100 years.

Les Miles losses and almost losses to Ole Miss every year as we as a few other teams that shouldnt even be playing on the same field as LSU

Umm no, 2 plays that Hatcher gave up 14 points on. Doesn;t get much closer then that.

There were a few games JJ played pretty well in. Auburn was close to his WORSE game as an LSU QB. If JJ plays half as good as he did against a&m we probably beat auburn.

He's only lost to Ole Miss the 2 bad years he's had at LSU, everyother year he has won. And as for this year, the two losses were to two teams who played in BCS bowl games. You can bitch all you want about ALMOST losing or how CLOSE games were. But close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades bud. You can continue to bitch and moan about how we play down to inferior teams, but I'd rather have our off games against them and then play better and beat the higher ranked teams then having it the other way around.

Do you debate that the SEC West and SEC are the toughest top to bottom division/confernce in the country?

If so, how do you expect that everyone Could be upset at any time? SC was not better than Bama, he'll Arky wasn't better than Bama.

That is the nature of competition, a point you seem to just not understand.

comparing Appy to Mich, as you would Tenn to LSU shows you have little idea about how truly close most of these teams are to one another.

Truthfully -- I'm a bit ashamed of myself. But, I really was only looking to see if the guy had said ANYTHING positive about LSU's football program. If I had found anything positive, I would've cut him some slack. But, I kept paging back and back... looking for ANYTHING. I kept seeing, Fantasy Sports, OT, Movies... and I was thinking, "WTF? This guy doesn't even FOLLOW the football program?"

2008 - A self-inflicted catastriphe prompted in large part by the inexplicably stupid promotion of Mallory and Peveto. The worst record of any defending national champion in BCS history. A sub-.500 SEC record.

2009 - A struggling offense bouyed by a valiant defense. A wasted defensive gem against the Gators in Death Valley at night, surrounded by all of that shimmering gold. The unforgiveable Ole Miss debacle. A sloppy mud bowl with more clock management errors.

2010 - A bizarre mystery, a contradiction, a study in incosistency. Great first half against UNC, followed by a inept second half. The last second chaos against Tennessee amidst more clock management blunders. Periods of dominance against Florida followed by mental lapses in kick coverage and on defense. A great performance against Bama. A lethargic perfomance against Ole Miss. The horror at the end of the first half in Little Rock. Uneven QB play. A lot of difficulty defending the read option and motion offense. A slow start and a resounding finish in the bowl game.

You asked me what I saw. Of far more importance is what I don't see. No SEC West title. No SEC titles. Those are you play for. Nothing less.

Umm, it DOES go both ways. Under Les Miles, LSU wins, or almost wins against Alabama every year.

See how that works?

Upward trend in both wins and national ranking. Also these numbers indicate that if the current trend continues, 2011 will be a national championship year.
